Violence in Peru

Hola family and just to say hello to you all once again.

As you may have seen on the news about our situation here. Yes it's a tough and testing time for the whole country, government, natives and the church. The situation in the country is still normal especially in the city Lima. Where the fighting and killing was is in the area of the Amazon where there is the forest and river. It was and still is a clash between the government and the tribes or natives of the forest of Amazona. It is now affecting the whole of the country for it's now fighting between Peruvians, which makes the story very sad. All the multi-national companies, petrol or mining are laughing with their money, while the people of Peru are suffering. We just hope the conflict will not get bigger. The Church is involved in finding a peaceful solution to the conflict. We hope the Church will continue to be the voice for the rights of the natives of the Amazona and the protection of the environment, forest and rivers that has been contaminated and polluted by the mining and petrol companies. This is just to update you all on our situation here. It has a long history and we just hope for the best.

May God bless Peru and her people of multi-races. Please do pray for us here and for this country.

'ofa atu,

napa
