Lalo Kalosipani News 12
Dear Famili,
Malo ho'omou lelei. 'Oku ou lolotonga tohi atu eni mei homau 'ofisi ngaue, after having been told by my co-workers to leave the office since I'm coughing all over the place, as they fear being infected by the flu (definitely not swineflu) which is why I'm not well at the moment, but I told them that getting infected is only psychological. The more you think about it, the more you draw the disease to yourself. But anyhow, the main reason for this update is that I just get some time to say hello to you guys before going home for the weekend.
So firstly, other than myself being ill, the rest at home are fine and well. Maliana has recovered positively. Everyone else are quite happy, with little Saimone and Milika jr. These are the little angels in our poor home. They enlighten us although Milika's curiousity at things can be annoying and so is Saimone's high pitch crying.
We also welcome to the Lalo Kalosipani our youngest uncle Fr.Palenapa who's on vacation from his missionary work in Peru. 'Oku mau fiefia he'ene a'u mai, ke faka'aonga'i ai leva ki he ngoue 'i 'uta, which desperately needed some attention, that which I couldn't provide. But Napa has almost finished hono to e manioke pea ko e toe 'eni ke fai hono huo 'uluaki, pea 'oku fai e fakakaukau ke fanavao pe. Ka 'oku ou manatu'i e lau 'a e motu'a ko Unu-mei-Kefu 'o ne pehe "Pe ko e 'ai ke fana, kau huo e ha?". But I guess for me Mr.Unu-mei-Kefu, I'll stick with the fanavao.
Last weekend, with the great company of our little uncle, Fr.Napa, we almost finished hono fakaheka e konga ma'ala toutu'u 'i he toutu'u 'a e Siasi Katolika 'a Matahau which is located 'i he konga'api 'uta 'a Maka & 'AnaTavo. Ko e fu'u konga ma'ala lahi fakavalevale foki eni famili. 'Oku fe'unga mo e fu'u 'ufi ofi ki he 700 ke to 'i he konga ma'ala 'a e memipa takitaha. Like I said, ko e fu'u konga ma'ala lahi fakavalevale eni. And last Saturday, Napa gathered some local fellows of about ten to do the job, ki hono keli mo hono fakaheka e 'ufi. Sr. Clare and three 'o 'ene kau ako taupo'ou turned up at the Lalo Kalosipani to help me and Tiana for the cooking ki he kau ngaue. We were shocked to find out kuo hange mai e kau keli ma'ala ia ha kau keli ma'ala fakafonua. Kuo 'osi mai e kau inukava honau tokolahi ki he toko 36 'o fakahoko e ngaue. They just turned up to help uninvited. I think these guys either they didn't have anything else to do that day, or were just being generous to help since our little uncle is a priest or maybe perhaps they thought they could all get something in return. Me'amalie ai pe ki honau fu'u tokolahi, ne kaungamalie pea vave ai pe 'a e keli mo hono fakaheka e fakataha e 'ufi ne ma'u. But in the end, all we could get for them was a sapasui kapapulu, supomoa, vaeua'i lusipi, konga manioke ta'o, kofu pooti tapaka kakato 'e ua, mo e kavatonga 2kg ke nau inu. Although I didn't get to hear complains mei he kau ngaue, but I hope ne nau makona pe he me'a ne mau si'i ma'u. As for our ma'ala, 'oku te'eki ke 'osi kotoa hono fakaheka since Napa is continueing to look for more pulopula ke faka'osi 'aki e konga ma'ala pea 'oku iku kolekole atu ki he kaunga'api na'a ma'u ai. Like I said, it's a damn huge konga ma'ala.
The other important news famili is that my birthday is tomorrow. Hikosi'i will be turning 27 tomorrow on August the 28th, still single and manageable. Fakamalo lahi atu ki he FataiEkuasi.com for I get to be in touch with you famili, coz I do have something important in mind to ask he 'oku ou 'ilo pe 'oku lahi ho'omou 'ofa 'iate au (thank you very much!) pea 'oku ou kole atu ai ke mou ma'u mai mu'a e computer laptop ko ena 'oku teu ke dispose 'i homou ngaahi 'api, he'e fu'u fiema'u ia 'e Hikosi'i ki he'ene ngaue faka'aho. And that's it, other than that, a Happy Birthday wish from you guys. I'd be happy to get a computer laptop, pea ko 'eku kole fakamaatoato atu 'eni famili, 'okapau 'e faingamalie ha taha hena. Kaikehe, kou fiu au he kole kia Sitani mo Uncle Tavo, pea 'oku toe 'asili ange 'ena fakalongolongo ia 'a kinaua meiate au, hange ai pe ia na'a mau ke kimautolu - 'oku 'ikai ke na toe lea mai kinaua! But like I said, only if any of you famili out there has any old laptop. It definitely doesn't have to be a fancy one, mou 'ilo pe model 'oku fe'unga mo hotau ki'i fonua ko Tonga, although kindly remind me never to underestimate our island kingdom.
Kaikehe, he'ikai teu fu'u kole fuoloa ai telia na'a bored ha taha hono lau si'eku fakatangi 'oku fai. Ka teu ngata a he, pea talamonu atu kiate kimoutolu famili mo e ngaahi ngaue kotoa pe 'oku mou takitaha fuesia. 'Ofa atu kiate kimoutolu hono kotoa mo e hufaki.
Ko au Hiko'itaulanga,
