Fijian Prime Minister's Visit to St John's
Greetings to you all!
Just a brief account of the Prime Miniter's visit to the school today to accompany the photos I've posted here.
Today was a blessed day for the school and community. His Excellency, Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama, visited the school. We were all excited by his visit and apparently he thoroughly enjoyed it even though it was a brief one. The purpose of his visit was to have a look at the bridge that was damaged over the weekend.
As a matter of fact this was the first ever visit of a Prime Minister of Fiji to the school. I managed to have a personal time with him and we talked about some of the urgent needs of the school. I pointed out to him that we desperately want to fence the Girls' Hostel as there have been reports of drunkards going into the girls' compound in the night.
The project will cost around $40,000 and after chatting with him, Mr.Bainimarama gave me his assurance that government will provide the funds for it. Yes, we are all excited and are grateful for his assistance. This is certainly a big boost for the school especially the girls.
Please keep up the prayers for me and my students because we need all the help we can get in order to serve our students in the best way we can.
