'Etivise & 'Isileli Need Your Prayers
Hi Family,
This is Maliana writing to inform everyone on the news of my sister, Vise's husband, Isi. I don't know if anyone's been informed, but he's currently in a cancer hospital in Utah receiving chemotherapy for his leukemia. When he was diagnosed three years ago with the disease, it wasn't at a serious stage, but it has now gotten worse, and they were given a really devastating news last week. The doctors told him he has 12 months or less to live. The best option he has now is to get a bone marrow transplant, but that causes several problems. The first problem is that they'll need to find a match, so they're going to try to see if any of his siblings will be a match, but the difficult thing is getting them to Utah from Tonga. Another big problem they face is that to get a bone marrow transplant, it will be very costly estimated at about half a million dollars. They are now in the process of trying to get him approved for medicaid to cover it, but it's very difficult since he's not a U.S. citizen.
Well, I would like to please ask everyone to keep them in your prayers for they are going through a very hard time. Isi is very young and just turned 28 years old last week. They have 2 little boys aged 4 and 2, and Vise is expecting their third right now. I love my sister very much and can't imagine what she's going through at this time. I'm sorry to share such sad news but I do know the power of prayer and ask that you please remember them in your prayers. I hope all is well with everyone!! Take care!
