Pilgrimage News from Rome
A big hello to all of you and thank you once again for your prayers. I am fine and enjoying this historic pilgrimage and tour of Europe. I am writing this email from the holy city of our faith, Rome. It is so hot and humid here, but am happy to be in this historic place. It's a blessing, once in a life time chance. After Austria, Bregenz, we passed through Switzerland, through the cities of St. Gallans and Olivone near the boarder with Italy. We walked through the forest close to the Alps. Hope I may get some of the photos to show you all. After Switzerland, we crossed over the border to Italy, to the city where St. Columban died, Bobbio. We had mass at his tomb and at the place where he died, a cave in the midst of nowhere in the forest. After Bobbio, we travelled to Milan and travelled by train from Milan to Rome. So tiring but full of new things and experiences. This Sunday we will end our pilgrimage here and then I will travel back to Ireland to spend a week there, visiting Fr. Dan Ahern who is retiring in Ireland, before going back to Peru. So far so good and that is because of you prayers. Looking forward to try and download some of the group's photos for you all to see.
