Fakamalo

Malo Lelei Famili,

'Oku mou fefe hake? Hope all is well from your respective corner around the world. To the UK, Europe and the great North American continent. To all you guys here in the Pacific, talofa lava, kia ora and a big bula vinaka. G'day to our Aussie people!

Hala ha koloa 'e ma'u atu mei he feitu'u ni ko e si'i lotu pe mo e hufaki. 'io, lotu pe moe hufaki. Koloa pe e motu'a ni 'oku ma'u. Fakafeta'i ki he 'Eiki.

'Oku 'ikai ha ongoongo fefe ia mei Tonga ni, ko e tala atu ai pe homau 'ofa, and BIG BEAR HUG to all of you around the world. Malo si'omou hufaki mai! Mau fiefia pe the past few weeks we had a quick visit from Sitani and son Sebastian from Canada and Fr.'Unaloto from Fiji. It was a short and interesting week as i had to rent my car to one of them. Thank God.

Today foki 'oku fkmanatua ai Teacher's Day here in Tonga (perhaps somewhere else too commemorates the same). Ne fkhoko ai pe laka e kau faiako 'o Tonga ni (ie.no school for kids . . lol). I would like to acknoledge my love and greatfulness to all the teachers in the family, going straight back to the man himself, Grandpa 'Ekuasi himself, Uncle Toni Rea, Sr.Clare, Fr.'Ekuasi, Faleola Vahe, 'Analena Ta'ai, Sitani, Paulo, Fita'ila etc etc (sorry these are the only names i know), so i seem to forgot someone, please . . . fiemalie ho loto 'oku mokoi hifo e Tamai Hevani ki ngafa mahu'inga ko ia ko hono fkmaama e mamani. I have to say, i'm proud of our teachers, neongo pe na'a nau fa'a taa'i au, but i'm sure Grandpa 'Ekuasi wud do the same if i was his student, and i think words is not enough ke fkhounga'i 'aki e taleniti 'ofa faitonunga ko eni. Ko ia e 'ofa lahi atu kiate kimoutolu.

Also, another great news for us here in Tonga is that in the past few days, it finally rains. Yes, i repeat, we got rain, water from heaven. The El-Nino season really hit us hard. They told us that rain wud probably come by November. Pea lahi maha e ngaahi sima vai 'i he 'otu Ha'apai mo Vava'u, pehe pe mo Tongatapu ni. Like myself, i had to go back to Matahau ke 'utu vai mai mei he lalo Kalosipani, he lahi e maha e ngaahi sima homau 'api siasi Uesiliana 'o Longolongo mo Kapeta. Fakamalo atu famili he ma'u e fu'u tangike vai ko eni he lalo Kalosipani ke te kumi hufanga ki ai. Ko ia, 'oku pehe pe tali lotu e 'Otua, 'ikai pe hu hala ha taimi, even ki he angahala ko au lol. Fakafeta'i, kuo toe fklanulanu mata hake funga fonua, pea fiefia ai pe mo tokanga. In Ha'apai, they Gov't bought one of those machines that changes the sea water to drinking water, TRUE, that's how bad it was for the Gov't trying to help out. But its a great relief to feel the water from above. Fakafeta'i.

Kaikehe, teu lepa a he! 'Ofa atu kamoutolu hono kotoa. Tofa soifua and big loloma from us here in Tonga.
